In the next few weeks, Microsoft Bing is getting an AI image generator that will help users turn text into digital art. The new tool will take a description and generate an image based on that description. The feature will be available to use free of charge. Until then, you can make use of the Image Creator tool.
Image Creator is a drag-and-drop image editor
This free drag-and-drop image editor combines drag-and-drop editing with a powerful feature set. It lets you drag files from the web or desktop without using a file dialog. You can also apply filters and stickers to the image. You can even copy an object from one image to another.
Once you open Image Creator, you’ll see the image placeholder and the orange “Insert” button. Simply hover over the image placeholder and click on the orange “Insert” button to select it. If you don’t see an image in the file browser, you can also enter the image file name into the search bar. It will then insert the image in the placeholder.
The editor also features a three column view that lets you manage your images. You can add and delete multiple images at once. You can also organize image files in folders by clicking the “+ New Folder” button on the toolbar.
It generates images based on a description
AI image generators are an incredible way to create a beautiful image from a description. These programs use DALL-E 2 software to build the image based on the text you type in. The resulting images range from surreal and non-digital abstract school artwork to landscapes and animal images. Using the right algorithm, you can get an art work that is unique to your description and style.
Microsoft has decided to adopt the technology, which will add an image generator function to Bing. This new feature will let users generate images based on text descriptions, and it will be available in limited preview in select geographies. The company will also take feedback from this limited preview and continue to improve the technology before launching it to the public.
While AI-generated imagery is an impressive improvement over current image generators, there are still issues. In addition to privacy and copyright concerns, such software isn’t suitable for every use case. For example, if a user wants to use a machine to create an image of a cake, they’d probably want to use photos of actual cakes.
It’s powered by OpenAI’s DALL-E 2 technology
While it might be fun to use an AI image generator and see a cute teddy bear, it is not safe. OpenAI has apparently put up safeguards to ensure the system cannot memorize faces. The company also implemented new methods to mitigate bias. However, the company acknowledged that more work is needed.
The open-source version of DALL-E 2 encourages a more diverse selection of images. The technique also rejects images containing realistic faces or trying to make a likeness of a public figure. This approach is aimed at increasing the accuracy of content filters.
The new AI image generator is being rolled out gradually. Microsoft has warned that new AI tools come with risks. However, the company removed explicit images from its dataset and will apply filters to prevent inappropriate images from being displayed on the search results.
It’s free to use
If you’ve ever dreamed of creating an image from scratch, you’ll love Microsoft’s new Bing Image Creator. It’s an AI image generator that can create images based on text, sketches, and other images. The technology allows you to create a new image that’s reportedly free to use and is completely unique.
The AI image generator works by learning from images all over the web. It then applies that learned captions to whatever phrase you type. The service apparently requires no registration. You can even get unlimited image attempts. However, people may want to consider using this option only for free.
The new tool will be available on Bing and the Microsoft Edge. The software works with the company’s image editor.
